4 Weeks Pregnant
Development at 4 Weeks
Around week 4, implantation is typically completing as the fertilized egg embeds in the uterine lining. The level of hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) begins to rise, which is what home pregnancy tests detect. This is generally the earliest a positive test result may appear. The embryo at this stage is tiny — roughly the size of a poppy seed.

Common Experiences at 4 Weeks
Many people do not yet know they are pregnant at week 4, though some may notice breast tenderness or mild fatigue. A missed period is often the first signal. Some people feel very little different at this stage. These early experiences vary widely from person to person.
Experiences vary widely between individuals. If you have concerns about any symptom, contact your healthcare provider.
