Around week 18, the baby is typically very active, with yawning, stretching, and other movements occurring regularly. Hearing is developing, and the baby may begin to respond to sounds from outside the womb. The anatomy scan is commonly scheduled between weeks 18 and 20. The fetus is roughly the size of a sweet potato.
