15 Weeks Pregnant
Development at 15 Weeks
Around week 15, bones are typically hardening (ossifying), replacing the earlier cartilage. The fetus may be able to sense light through the closed eyelids. Swallowing of amniotic fluid is occurring, which is part of normal digestive system development. The fetus is approximately the size of an apple. The skeleton is becoming more defined.

Common Experiences at 15 Weeks
Many people find the second trimester a period of relative comfort. Nausea has often eased by week 15 for many. Some people experience nasal congestion or nosebleeds due to increased blood volume. The belly is growing, and some people begin to notice the need for maternity clothing around this time.
Experiences vary widely between individuals. If you have concerns about any symptom, contact your healthcare provider.
